WHAT'S RECIPROCITY ?
A licensed adjuster can receive a license in another state(s) thanks to reciprocity, often known as privileges of reciprocal licensing. After you obtain a license from your own state or the DHS, you can use reciprocity to apply for licenses from other states.

If you want to work as an insurance adjuster but your state does not issue licenses for this profession, what should you do? In this case, you will want a license known as a "Designated Home State" (or "DHS") license.

How to obtain a DHS license ?
A person from any state may claim Texas as their home state. But if you reside in a state that demands its own adjuster license, you should obtain that license first. This will enable you to conduct business in your home state
